Beautiful

Went out for an afternoon run today... it was perfect out. The sun had finally broke through and started warming things up, and off I went. You can feel the beginnings of fall creeping in here. The air is different. I love it.

Today: 4 miles
Week: 4 miles

How is everyones training going? Obviously mine isn't very consistant ;-) Anyone got any races coming up?

I believe I've sent you the link... should you run this year as "Milah" or "Heather" ? You can put a phrase on the bib this year, I think Go Elvis would be fitting.

I just had another bad experience in the Marathon. I can't figuret that race out. I started out quite a bit slower and felt good through 18 this time, and completely fell apart the last 8, which seemed all uphill. This one was in the Twin Cities, and the race itself was awesome, the course was just tough for me, especially the last 10k.

My time was 2:53 again. I stopped to get some fluids in and to stretch out about 3 times the last 4 miles, so that probably cost me about 5 minutes or so, but I can't count that.

My plan for now is to rest up some, and get ready for the Houston Half again in January. I might try a couple of 15k's before then.

Just keep your running going and let me know what's going on.

That marathon is a beast... many a person has fallen prey to that last 10k. You have plenty of time to get it figured out though. Some rest, and a little break from it is a good idea... enjoy some Fall running.
