Run to 30

The culmination of my plan starts today! I was shooting to get up into the 30 miles a week category, and this is the first week that should happen. It would have been hard to find a nicer day for it to begin on...

Today: 4 miles
Week: 4 miles

Tomorrow I am going to try to get an 8 miler in... Yup, about an hour, and my longest run to date (and probably where I will max out at for a while).

Micah,

Good to see you are getting up there again. That 8 will feel hard tomorrow, but before you know it they will start to feel easy. Then comes the 10-12s and those will start to feel easier. Once you get there you will be set. For now though, keep it going, and when a bad day comes up when you need to walk or cut the miles short that is fine, I have gone through them myself lately, so it't not a big deal.
What I have learned though is you can't always follow the plan, that is when you will either get hurt or sick of it. So if you don't hit what you are supposed to hit, it's not a big deal, there is always tomorrow or next week.
